There is no point on which men make greater mistakes than on the relation which exists between the law and the gospel. Some men put the law instead of the gospel; others put gospel instead of the law. A certain class maintains that the law and the gospel are mixed...These men understand not the truth and are false teachers (Charles Spurgeon)

Hi Laurence

Yes, probably, but you miss the point if you go into too much detail. The organisation chart is only an example I quickly drew up to show the the type of structure required for order.

I agree that people should think seriously about inner city as a valid option, and not disregard it....

Part of me says though, that if God wants someone in a particular place, like the guy above... then it'll happen. If you end up somewhere else, then that is God's plan for you.

yes/no ?

Hi Neil, this is a very interesting point. I have the Lion Story Bible (which is a children's bible in 50 volumes). Its Adam and Eve volume reads

'You may eat the fruit of all the trees in the garden,' God said, 'except that one tree in the middle.'
It was easy to obey, because there were plenty of other good things to eat.

There is no mention at all of the tree of life. Even when Adam and Eve are banished from the garden. God simply says, "when you grow old, you will die."
