More on Christians dealing with porn

There’s a few posts on this blog about overcoming porn use and how the Christian press has been raising the issue of porn more openly and decisively in recent times.

An American journalist, Anne Jackson, commented on my post on avoiding ministry burnout and, as I followed the link to her blog, I discovered she has a section which seeks to deal with the issue of pornography openly and from a woman’s perspective.

With Dirty Girls, the new porn addicts, there are at least two websites dedicated to women who want to overcome porn use. For us men, there’s Mark Driscoll’s of Porn Again Christian and Covenant Eyes, Breaking Free, which has links to other ministries.

If you have visited this page because you are a Christian wanting to break out of porn addiction please make sure you have grasped the gospel of Jesus Christ; by faith in Christ you have been redeemed from lawlessness and have been purified. It is only by knowing who you are in Christ that you will find the desire to stay pure:

For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works. Titus 2:11-14

  2. Thanks for mentioning our blog. I did a whole series on Titus 2 a while back. It is one of my favorite passages of Scripture.
