I find it really hard can’t do diaries and communication. I look at my diary too late to convene meetings so the meetings don’t happen. Admin feels a bit like this:
But I think we might have found a solution at Holy Trinity. It’s not reinventing the wheel. Each group, team or sub-committee now has a convener. We agree dates for the various bits of church life and one person on each team has the responsibility of making sure the meeting happens and that everyone is reminded that it is on, in time.
It still leaves the in-box and various other pieces of paper communication which can feel like a mountain, even if it’s a mole hill. We do still need an administrator after all.
